✅ Description:
Mirogabalin selectively binds with high affinity to the α2δ subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). This action reduces calcium influx into nerve cells, thereby decreasing neurotransmitter release in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons and helping to relieve neuropathic pain.
- Mirogabalin may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or loss of consciousness; avoid driving or operating machinery
- Use with caution in elderly patients
- May lead to weight gain
- Can cause blurred or double vision

✔️ Composition
Mirogab 10 mg: Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg of mirogabalin besylate
✔️ Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Drowsiness (somnolence)
- Dizziness
- Edema (swelling)
- Weight gain
Rare but serious symptoms may include:
- Loss of consciousness or severe dizziness
- General weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting
- Jaundice or signs of liver dysfunction
If any serious symptoms occur, discontinue the medication and seek medical advice immediately.
✔️ Dosage & Administration
The usual starting dose for adults is 5 mg of mirogabalin twice daily. The dose can be increased gradually by 5 mg at intervals of at least one week, up to 15 mg twice daily.
Depending on the patient’s age and clinical condition, the dose may be adjusted within the range of 10 mg to 15 mg twice daily. Always take the medication as directed by a physician.
✔️ Interaction
- Does not significantly affect cytochrome P450 enzymes
- Co-administration with cimetidine or probenecid may increase plasma levels of mirogabalin
- Use with alcohol or lorazepam may enhance central nervous system (CNS) depressant effects

- Patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug
- Patients with mild to moderate hepatic or renal impairment
✔️ Storage:
- Store below 30°C
- Keep in a dry place, protected from light and moisture
